Australian band dust delivers “New High”, a track that balances perfectly isolation and connection. Moving away from their previous experimental approach, this release shows a more refined side while keeping their distinctive edge.

The song flows between melodic passages and intense moments, with saxophone breaks adding depth to the atmosphere. The bridge section stands out with its deep bass accompanying the lyrics “waste my time alone.

Regarding the track, guitarist-vocalist Justin Teale explains: “It’s about those nights spent lying in a room illuminated by fairy lights, listening to dreamy music like Beach House or watching the movie Her and feeling a deep sense of melancholy”.
